Re: Korean youth crime in Sydney

Hi, I have been studying asian gangs myself. Here is what I have found to be true. Korean gangs may not seem as big organizations like the other ethnic gangs, but thats because they do not want that kind of "stardom" or bragging rights. For example in Korea, major business and industries are ruled by these korean "organizations". They have huge stakes in big companies, hotels and street businesses such as clubs and stores etc..They are into money more then anything and are very good at not getting attention. They are not street gangs that like to be dirty and nasty in petty things claiming street fame. They are the silent low key players. My uncle used to be a key organizational figure. He tells me that they dont kill, they just beat people real bad and its not rare for them to throw there victims (victims like company heads for purposes of extortion or turning over papers) in front of a hospital street. Lotta young koreans may try to be gangsters, but they are merely mimicing the enviroment that they are in. One thing about Koreans, they dont like to kill, however they love a good fight. I think what separates them from other cultures is that they respect life and killing is a very serious thing. They do however like good fights not killing anyone letting them have another day to fight. That is why people may not think that Korean gangs are not serious or violent like other ethnic groups such as Vietnamese, Chinese etc..
